1499850 5 - Aminocarbonyl - 2,4,6 - trihydroxypyrimidine IMPERIAL CHEMICAL INDUSTRIES Ltd 13 Aug 1976 [4 Nov 1975] 45755/75 Heading C2C 5 - Aminocarbonyl - 2,4,6 - trihydroxypyrimidine is made by heating barbituric acid with an aqueous solution of urea. The reaction medium may also include a water-miscible organic liquid (e.g. ethylene glycol or its monoethyl ether) or a surface-active agent (e.g. the sodium salt of a condensate of anaphthalene sulphonic acid and formaldehyde).
