Abstract
1499690 Optical fibres FELTEN & GUILLEAUME CARLSWERK A G 26 Nov 1975 [22 March 1975] 48552/75 Heading G2J A television camera cable comprises a plastics core 2 (which may be provided with a central reinforcement 8), a plastics sheath 6, and a plurality of electrical conductors 4, there also being provided an optical fibre 3 or a plurality of such fibres. The optical fibres may be individually sheathed as at 7 and may be formed into a bundle 9 embedded in plastics 10. The fibres (or bundles 9) may be arranged around the periphery of the core. Alternatively the fibres 3 may be embedded in the central core 2. The electrical conductors may be a low voltage line, a screened central line, an unscreened central line, and a power line. A selection of preferred materials are given for the core and sheath.
