Abstract

1498155 Filling food shells; bakery apparatus M EZAKI 19 Dec 1975 52107/75 Headings A2A and A2B A device for filling tubular food shells comprises a conveyor having cradles 24 thereon for holding said food shells 25. The conveyor is operated in a stepwise fashion and at each step keep plate 84 and adjustable stops 75 are moved into contact with the shells to hold them in place. Nozzles 65 are moved into contact with the food shells and a measured amount of filling ejected into the tubular shell. The shells are moved on the conveyor opposite nozzles 81 which are then moved into contact with the shells and an air jet injected so as to spread the filling over the inner surface of the food shell in the manner shown in Fig. 7.
