Abstract

Compounds of the formula I <IMAGE> in which the groups of the formula <IMAGE> are in the meta-position or para-position to one another and the substituents have the meaning given in Patent Claim 1, are prepared by reacting a compound of the formula II <IMAGE> with an alkyloxalyl halide or a dialkyl oxalate to form the corresponding dioxamic acid ester. The latter is then hydrolysed to give the corresponding free acid of the formula I or its physiologically acceptable metal salt or ammonium salt. The novel compounds of the formula I are outstandingly suitable for the treatment of allergies and all anaphylactic reactions in sensitised human subjects and are also outstandingly suitable for prophylactic treatment.
