Abstract
1495270 Locating articles in cartons REED INTERNATIONAL Ltd 7 July 1975 [12 July 1974] 31028/74 Headings B8P and B8C A carton of cardboard or corrugated board for articles having vulnerable projecting parts, such as record decks, has one or more inner sleeves 3 fitting closely within an outer sleeve 6, the sleeve 6 having flaps 8 folded inwardly and abutting against the inner sleeve or the article. Caps 4 may be provided to cover the outer ends of the articles or inner sleeve. Two articles 1 can be supported on a single inner sleeve and a number of inner sleeves can be positioned as a column within the outer sleeve. A finger hole 12 gives access to a tear strip 10 whereby the carton can be opened. The flaps 8 may be replaced by tabs which press inwardly from the walls of sleeve 6, and in another form flaps or tabs on the inner sleeve may engage the flaps 8.
