Abstract
1495061 Coating Al with Pb H D WALKER 7 March 1975 [11 March 1974 14 March 1974] 9612/75 Heading C7F [Also in Division H1] A battery plate is made by vapour depositing or sputtering Pb on Al. When sputtering is used the aluminium oxide layer is first removed by ion bombardment. The evaporated particles may be accelerated in an electric field.
