Abstract

1494721 Portable grill L RUNG 2 March 1976 03532/76 Heading A4D A portable grill assembly comprises a rectangular fuel bowl 1 and two side plates 2 each of which is hinged at two corners of bowl 1 so that side plates 2 may be pivoted into the bowl for storage, each side plate 2 is provided with an L-shaped spit support slot 7 having notches 8 and with a spit passage 9. A pan 36 is provided and may engage rear ribs 11, 14 of the plates 2 to act as a wind shield or rest on lower ribs 17 to act as a frying pan. A wire grill 35 engages over the bowl 1 in channels 4 under side plates 2. The bowl 1 is mounted on legs 28 by means of a leg holder 24 and handle 25, and the bowl 1 may be adjusted to lie either horizontally or vertically, Fig. 3 (not shown), by means of the handle 25. A flap 31 is provided at the front of bowl 1 to give access to the fuel, a carrying-handle 34 provides the pivots for flap 31. A transverse rib 18 carrying bolts 19 is provided on each side plate 2 whereby the pan 36 may be retained over bowl 1 when side plates 2 are folded into bowl 1.
