Abstract

1494744 Dispensing carbonated water BRITISH SYPHON INDUSTRIES Ltd 22 April 1975 [2 May 1974] 19405/74 Heading A4T [Also in Division B1] An apparatus for dispensing carbonated water comprises a water supply 20 extending through a cooling container 10 to a carbonater 28 from which a closed loop carbonated water circuit 34 extends, part of the loop being associated with a sensing element 44 of a temperature sensitive electric switch 46 controlling an agitator motor 18 and a pump motor 36. Thus the agitator 14 and the circulating pump 36 are only operated when the water temperature rises. The water supply 20 also passes near to the sensing element. The agitator and pump motor may additionally be operated by a tap at the dispense point 38. The level of water in the carbonater controls the water supply pump 22.
