1494295 Lignosulphonate-sugar complexes and/or chelates of metals KESKUSOSUUSLIIKE OTK 7 Jan 1976 [7 Jan 1975] 00526/76 Heading C2C [Also in Division A2] The invention comprises a method of preparing a product for use in a feed mixture which comprises adding one or more metal compounds, selected from compounds of Cu, Fe, Co, Mn, Zn and Mg, to an ammonium, magnesium and/or calcium based spent liquor obtained in a sulphite-cellulose process or to a material comprising the solid components of such spent liquor, whereby ions of said one or more metals are complexed or chelated with lignosulphonate-sugar compounds in the spent liquor or in said material to form one or more complexes or chelates, drying the product formed whereupon said one or more complexes or chelates remain encapsulated in the spent liquor-sugar dried mass and crushing, grinding or granulating the resulting lignosulphonate containing product.
