1492033 Valves UNITED KINGDOM ATOMIC ENERGY AUTHORITY 2 April 1975 [22 April 1974] 17583/74 Heading F2V [Also in Division B8] A valve for a metering apparatus comprises a rigid tube 1 with a pair of apertures 5 and an elastic sleeve 6 which is shaped by rods 4 to define a restriction. The sleeve is enclosed in a chamber 8 to which pressure or suction can be applied to close or open the valve.
