Abstract

1490214 Mixing foundry materials FORDATH Ltd 30 June 1975 [2 July 1974] 29219/74 Addition to 1431193 Heading B1C The apparatus of the main specification is modified by the provision of scraper blades 27 extending between pairs of deflector blades 25 and mixing blades 26 and serving also to deflect material inwardly. The blades 25, 26, 27 may all be of generally rectangular shape. There may be an additional scraper blade 28. The mixing chamber 14 may be in two parts hinged along one side of the cone. A pneumatically operated discharge gate may be provided and the mixer may discharge directly into moulds or core boxes, or into the blowing chamber of a core blower.
