Abstract

1489385 Intruder alarms ANATRONICS CORP 9 Dec 1974 [10 Dec 1973] 53067/74 Heading G4N [Also in Division H4] An alarm system for use by e.g. bank staff makes use of concealed transmitting arrangements which may be worn on the person and each of which includes a transmitter, a battery power supply and a pressure actuated switch. These items may for example be included in a belt, the switch being operated by the flexing of the wearer's stomach muscles. The transmitted alarm signals are detected by a radio receiver and to this is connected a relay which detects when a received alarm signal is received continuously for a predetermined period of time. When such a signal is detected an alarm signal is supplied, e.g. by a further radio link, to an alerting station. This may for example be a police station. Other alarm or protection arrangements, e.g. cameras, may be switched in, and other detectors such as sound, ultra sound or radar detectors may be coupled to the relay detector.
