Abstract
1489031 Copper-glass silk screen printing paste PHILIPS ELECTRONIC & ASSOCIATED INDUSTRIES Ltd 22 March 1976 [25 March 1975] 11412/76 Heading C7D [Also in Division H1] A silk screen printing paste for making metal conductors on ceramic substrates by firing at 800-1000‹C in a non oxidizing atmosphere comprises a mixture of Cu powder, glass powder and an organic thixatropic binder, the Cu forming 92- 98 wt. per cent of the Cu and glass and the glass composition in mole % being 5-20 SiO 2 , 15-40 B 2 O 3 , 0-5 Al 2 O 3 , 25-40 ZnO, 5-30 CaO + MgO, 0-10 Li 2 O. The binder may be a solution of ethyl cellulose in terpineol and may form 25-35% wt. per cent of the Cu + glass.
