Abstract

1488372 Powder dispenser GENERAL FOODS Ltd 4 June 1975 [4 June 1974] 24799/74 Heading B8N A dispenser for predetermined amounts of granular material such as sugar, coffee, &c. comprises a bucket valve with a base 5, side walls 6 and a partition 9 defining a pair of metering chambers 7, 8, the valve being pivoted on a spindle 10 to empty either of the chambers. The valve is tilted by a lever 13 connected to a knob 15. A latching mechanism, Fig. 6 is provided if the dispenser is used in a coin operated mechanism and includes a latch 22 to hold the lever 13 until released by a coin operating on a linkage which includes an overcentre linkage 19 and a spring-biased plunger 23.
