Abstract

1488163 Linkwork CAV Ltd 27 Jan 1975 [1 Feb 1974] 04682/74 Heading F2K A resilient link for use in fuel injection pump apparatus of an I.C. engine comprises a pair of sheet metal bifurcated elements 10, 11 arranged at right angles to each other and each having a pair of limbs 14 with inturned ends against which a pre-loaded spring 15 is supported via flat abutment discs 16, the limbs 14 registering with turned in tongue/notches 17 formed on the peripheries of the discs 16, the elements 10, 11 being connected at each end 13 to operating levers of the fuel pump apparatus, the arrangement being such that the elements 10, 11 may be moved relative to each other in either direction during which movement the spring 15 will be compressed, the force which can be transmitted between the elements without relative movement thereof being determined by the pre-load of the spring.
