Abstract
1486609 Brake boosters AUTOMOTIVE PRODUCTS Ltd 18 Nov 1975 [18 Nov 1974] 49839/74 Addition to 1363241 Heading F2F In an improvement in or modification of the brake booster of Parent Specification having an annular diaphragm 27 comprising a thickened ring 51 of resilient material of which at least part is engaged in fluid tight manner within an annular groove 52 there is provided a dished metal washer 55 carried by the tubular housing 36 to form a stop or barrier positioned sufficiently adjacent the thickened ring 51 to prevent it from being displaced from the groove 52 if for example the booster push rod is moved in the brake applying direction when no vacuum is available. The radially inner periphery of the washer has angularly spaced barbs which engage within the annular groove to locate the washer axially.
