Abstract

1486640 Imitation gas-fired log fires UNEX TRADING BV 9 Aug 1975 33303/75 Heading F4W An imitation log fire for placing in a fireplace comprises piled-up separate hollow incombustible elements 1, 2, 3 in the form of logs of wood or parts of tree trunks, the elements being connected by separate pipes 4, 5, 6 to a common mixing device 7 for a gaseous fuel and combustion air, and each element having openings through which the gas/air mixture is discharged for ignition. The mixing device 7 includes a tube into which an injector 8 discharges the gaseous fuel, thereby inducing a flow of combustion air from the atmosphere. The elements 1 to 3 may be arranged so that some of the elements are heated to incandescence. The elements may be loose laid or fixed.
