Abstract
1485442 Microporous polyurethanes BAYER AG 4 Sept 1974 14099/77 Divided out of 1485441 Heading C3R Microporous polyurethane sheets or films are prepared by adding a suspension of a cationic polyurethane or polyurethane urea or a suspension of an anionic polyurethane or polyurethane urea to a hygroscopic solution of a non-ionic polyurethane or polyurethane urea prior to coagulation thereof, the added suspension being sedimenting, but redispersible, having a particle size of from 0À8 to 100 Á and being sufficiently cross-linked to be insoluble in boiling dimethylformamide. The suspension is preferably one in water or a mixture of water and an organic solvent. All of the polyurethanes or polyurethane ureas may contain polysiloxane groups and are prepared by conventional techniques. Coagulation also takes place by conventional techniques.
