Abstract

1485229 Medicinal pellets ROHM GmbH 17 Oct 1975 [17 Oct 1974] 42770/75 Addition to 1370479 Heading A5B Medicinal pellets, in which successive applications of an active ingredient onto a seed material are effected, are produced by application of an aqueous dispersion of a binder followed by a powder comprising the active ingredient, the amount of dispersion used per application being within the critical liquid absorption range for the amount of powder used for the application, and thence drying the pellets after the last application of active ingredient to the seed material. The seed material can comprise crystals or granulates of a medicinal active ingredient or sugar crystals The binder is preferably a synthetic resin totally insoluble in water or a synthetic resin containing hydrophilic groups.
