Abstract

1481867 Phosphorus-containing 1,2,3-triazole derivatives CIBA-GEIGY AG 9 Sept 1974 [10 Sept 1973 24 July 1974] 39219/74 Heading C2P The invention comprises compounds (I) of the general formula wherein R 1 is optionally substituted C 1 -C 18 alkyl, C 1 -C 18 alkoxy, C 1 -C 18 alkylthio, mono C 1 -C 18 alkylamino or di(C 1 -C 18 ) alkylamino, or is NH 2 , R 2 is as defined for R 1 but excluding optionally substituted C 1 -C 18 alkyl, R 3 is optionally substituted phenyl, Y is H, Cl or Br, n is 0 or 1 and X is O or S. They may be obtained by the following reaction schemes: wherein Hal is F, Cl, Br or I, R<SP>1</SP> 2 is alkoxy or alkylthio and M is a monovalent metal. The reactions are preferably effected in an inert solvent or diluent. When the phenyl radical R 3 is substituted it is preferably substituted by up to 3 halogen atoms selected from F, Cl, Br and I or is mono-substituted by methyl, methoxy or CF 3 . The products have pesticidal including acaricidal and nematicidal properties and may be used as active ingredients in conventional pesticidal compositions which may also contain other pesticides, e.g. nitrophenols and derivatives thereof, formamidines, ureas, pyrethrinlike derivatives, carbamates, chlorinated hydrocarbons or other organophosphorus compounds.
