Abstract
1480418 Radio signalling BUDAPESTI RADIOTECHNIKAI GYAR 18 Oct 1974 [22 Oct 1973] 45187/74 Heading H4L A transceiver which is provided with sendreceive switching and a common aerial and in which the receiver includes an inhibit (squelch) circuit, is provided with a comparator responsive to the squelch circuit and coupled to a controlled switch to prevent the operation of the transmitter in the presence of received signals, above a predetermined threshold value set on a potentiometer, and provided as one input to the comparator (differential amplifier) receiving as its other input, an output signal from the squelch circuit, the comparator being coupled to the controlled switch itself controlling transmission. By this means a third station is prevented from entering an existing radio connection between two stations in systems wherein mobile stations communicate via a base station on a common carrier frequency.
