1479996 Safety device SIMON-UK Ltd 19 Feb 1976 [1 March 1975] 8642/75 Heading F2J [Also in Division B6] A safety device for a printing press comprises a rod 15 mounted to block access to the nip between an impression roll 10 and a printing roll 11 and maintain the block when roll 11 is moved along directions X or when different size rolls 11 are used. Rod 15 is supported on pivoted arms 16 which also carry pegs 18 that travel in slot 19 on the printing roll frame 14 to keep the rod 15 near the nip.
