Abstract

1474889 Fillet card clothing ENGLISH CARD CLOTHING CO Ltd 27 Sept 1974 [4 Oct 1973] 46296/73 Heading D1N Wires 20 project from the surface of a fillet card clothing by an amount a in the range 0.050 to 0.090 inches and the tips of the wires are hardened where they project from the clothing after fitting into the foundation material. The angle # of the wire tip is in the range 20‹ to 30‹. The foundation 10 comprises layers of woven fabrics 12 secured together by latex with a surface layer 14 of polyvinylchloride. The surface may incorporate a silicone release agent as in Specification 1362602. The wires can be of rounded cross section, Fig. 3 (not shown) with a straight cut top edge. The clothing may be employed in card clothing elements as described in Specification 1474888.
