Abstract
1474421 Hydraulic control circuits DEERE & CO 24 July 1974 [25 July 1973] 32760/74 Heading F1P In the circuit shown in Fig. 1, the output of a pump 10 is controlled by a pressure responsive valve 38, which decreases pump output as the pressure rises by feeding pressure fluid to a control chamber of the pump, and is acted on in the sense tending to open the valve by pump pressure and in the sense tending to close it by pressure in a pilot line 56 which is normally coupled by a valve 58 to a line 24, the valve 58 being arranged to close when pressure in the line 24 reaches a predetermined level. A spring 48 determines the stand-by pressure of the pump and when the valve 14 is opened pressure fluid passes through the line 56 and valve 58 to push a piston 52 to the left, thus closing the valve 38. The pump pressure therefore rises. If the valve 14 is closed before excess pressure closes the valve 58 pressure in line 56 is exhausted through a restriction 90. If the valve 14 remains open and the pressure continues to increase, a piston 82 is moved to the right to close a pressure responsive switch 68. This closes the solenoid valve 58 which allows the valve 38 to open and decrease the pump output. Fig. 2 (not shown), illustrates a modified circuit in which a pressure responsive valve 138 controls the pump output by means of a piston and cylinder arrangement 194, 192. The restrictor 90 is omitted and the connection between the ram 112 and the solenoid valve 158 is different.
