Abstract

1474173 Measuring tape tension KODAK Ltd 16 May 1974 [18 May 1973] 23797/73 Heading G1W [Also in Division G3] In a tape tension control system (see Division G3), the tension is measured by wrapping the tape in a S-like manner around idler rolls 21, supported on a member 22. The position of the member 22 varies with tape tension, to move a neutral density wedge 30 between a lamp 28 and a photo-cell 29, whose output is used in the tension control.
