Abstract

1473001 Cylinder tripping SIMON-VK Ltd 8 July 1975 [30 July 1974] 33545/74 Heading B6C A flexographie printing machine comprises means to separate an inking roller 13, plate cylinder 11 and driven impression cylinder 10 for alignment thereof. Slidable frames 18, 20 carry the plate cylinder 11 and ink fountain rollers 13, 14 respectively and hydraulic cylinders 28, 30 urge frames 18, 20 towards cylinders 10, 11 respectively until adjustable stops 21, 23 respectively engage abutments 29, 31. The abutments 29, 31 are small hydraulic cylinders capable of being locked in two positions, one with gearing 15, 16, 17 fully meshed and the other unmeshed. Fine adjustment is achieved using handles 32, 33 which turn stops 21, 23 in threads 22, 24. Further hydraulic cylinders 34, 35 are provided to disengage the cylinders 10, 11 and roller 13 but keep the gearing 15, 16, 17 in engagement during temporary interruptions.
