Abstract

1472401 I C engine fuel injectors CAV Ltd 29 April 1974 [12 May 1973] 22718/73 Heading F1B A non-return valve 22 controls the flow of fuel from the inlet 15 to the spring chamber 17 to provide a pressure acting on the injector valve 14 with the spring 16 in opposition to the pressure acting on the injector valve to open the injector. The spring 16 may act to urge the valve 22 on to its seat. The end of the stem 21 remote from the valve head is subject to drain pressure and the valve 22 operates to provide a pressure in the chamber 17 which is a proportion of the peak pressure at the inlet 15.
