Abstract
1470857 Filter elements R J REYNOLDS TOBACCO CO 10 June 1974 [9 July 1973] 25667/74 Heading A2C A filter element 14 for tobacco smoke comprises a cylindrical porous body 24 contained within a side wall and two circular end walls the body having at least one elongated bore 28, 30 and 32 extending through each end wall into the fibrous body, each bore being surrounded by the fibrous body, and being parallel to each other bore and to the axis of the body, the bore(s) through one end wall being in non aligned relationship with the bore(s) through the other end wall. The filter element may be made from cellulose acetate fibres. The filter element may be used in conjunction with conventional filter media.
