Abstract

1470725 Rotary mounting for an electric lead KABEL UND METALLWERKE GUTEHOFFNUNGSHUTTE AG 4 Sept 1975 [16 Jan 1975] 36482/75 Heading H2E A rotary connector for connecting an electric lead to a rigid easing of an appliance, has a bearing ring 5 made of nylon or metal fixed round the connector body 4 of lead 1 which has contacts 2 and 3 coaxially disposed and mating with corresponding fixed contacts on the appliance, and a counter bearing surface on the casing 6, which optionally has a counter bearing surface 7 which may be of the same material as ring 5. The rotary connector is produced by first connecting the contact ring 2 and pin 3 to the conductors of lead 1; the assembly is then placed, with bearing ring 5, in an injection moulding apparatus wherein the connector body 4 is moulded around the lead 1, the ring 5 is integrally incorporated in the connector body 4 and insulation is provided between the contact ring 2 and pin 3.
