Abstract
1470761 Weighing vehicles HAWKER SIDDELEY DYNAMICS Ltd 26 April 1974 [26 Jan 1973] 4070/73 Heading G1W A portable weighing apparatus kit suitable for weighing vehicles comprises, as independently portable parts of the kit, at least two separate similar weighing devices 31, 51, and a plurality of load bearing track members 33, 34, 52, having their ends adapted to be butted to or to rest on the weighing devices, each track member being constructed with a core 20, Fig.3, of high strength/ weight ratio foraminous material sandwiched between upper and lower skins 21, 22. The track members may be faced with protective boards 23, 24 and include vertical webs to increase their beam strength. In Fig.5 two track members 33, 34 but against each weighing device 31, which may be of the hydrostatic type, and further back members 35, 36 are provided, each vehicle axle being weighed in turn. In Fig. 7, two groups of devices 51 are provided, each group consisting of three devices that are bridged by a pair of track members resting thereon.
