Abstract

1470139 Ventilators TROX GmbH Gebr 25 Sept 1975 [5 Oct 1974] 39273/75 Heading F4V A ceiling mounted slot diffuser comprises an elongate housing having a longitudinal outlet slot in its lower wall, air inlet openings 2 in the upper wall, and cold and warm air portions, the or each cold air portion C containing an air flow deflecting member 8 which co-operates with the housing lower wall to effect an approximately horizontal cold air outflow direction through the slot, the or each warm air portion B containing no deflection member, and a closure member common to the portions B and C and movable from a first position in which it closes the openings 2 of portion(s) B and opens the openings 2 of portion(s) C to a second position in which it closes the openings 2 of portion(s) C and opens the openings 2 of portion(s) B. In the form shown, the closure member is an apertured slide plate 5 having air directing nozzles associated with the openings 6 therein. The or each deflecting member 8 is a flap pivotally mounted on one of the side walls of the housing. The length of the or each warm air portion along the housing is between <SP>1</SP>/ 10 and ¢ of the total length of one warm and one cold portion.
