Abstract

1469374 Frequency doubler BURROUGHS CORP 26 June 1975 27036/75 Heading H3P A frequency doubler produces a pulse train output, Fig. 3, having a frequency twice that of an input sine wave, by an arrangement in which the sine wave is full wave rectified 3, Fig. 2, and the resulting signal is thresholded 6 with a level which, for a unity mark/space ratio, is approximately 0À7 times the peak level of the rectified sine wave, the peak level being detected 4 by a conventional diode D3 and capacitor C and appropriately scaled by a potentiometer 51, whose setting determines the mark/space ratio of the output pulse train.
