1468722 Toothed gearing ZAHNRADERFABRIK RENK AG 8 March 1974 [14 March 1973] 10612/74 Heading F2Q A ship's propeller shaft 10 is driven by two engines 1 through resilient couplings 2, articulated shafts 3 and hollow shafts 25 carrying pinions 6 meshing a gear-wheel 7 on the shaft 10, the shafts 25 being mounted on adjustable bearings 12, and the gearing housing 8 being mounted on the ship's hull by four supports 11, 24 positioned at the centre of a respective one of four side surfaces of the housing 8.
