1468005 Oxidation catalysts MONTEDISON SpA 7 Nov 1975 [12 Nov 1974] 46222/75 Heading B1E [Also in Division C2] Catalyst compositions consisting of molybdenum, vanadium, and titanium and optionally tin and/or chromium with chemically combined oxygen of empirical formula: Mo 12 V a Ti b Sn c Cr d O e in which a is 0.5-10, b is 0.4-4, c is 0 or up to 4, d is 0 or up to 3 and e is to satisfy the valency requirements. The catalyst may be unsupported or on a carrier such as silica, alumina, silica-alumina, silicon carbide or pumice in fixed or fluidised beds and is prepared by conventional mixing of salts followed by evaporation and calcination.
