Abstract

1466065 Machinery guards MASSEY-FERGUSON-PERKINS Ltd 7 March 1974 [24 March 1973] 14307/73 Heading F2J [Also in Division E2] A flexible safety screen 28 for a rotary mower 10 is releasably secured to a wire frame-work screen support 30, 32 of the mower 10 by split cylindrical spring-clips 42. The screen 28 comprises a pair of top covers 36, 38 and a separate surrounding vertically hanging skirt 40 which are readily jointly secured at their overlapped edges to the wire frame support 30, 32 by the spring-clips 42 (Fig. 4), the clips 42 facilitating easy assembly (Fig. 6), or removal, of the screen 28 to, or from, the rotary mower 10. Any other type of flexible screen, e.g. around a traction cab, may be secured to a wire framework of the cab by this type of clip in a similar manner.
