Abstract
1465495 Aerosol teeth-cleaning compositions E R HOLLOWAY Ltd 15 May 1974 [29 June 1973] 31117/73 Heading C4X [Also in Division A5] An aerosol container has a dispensing valve and contains a propellant and an orally acceptable liquid teeth-cleaning composition that is capable of being dispensed from the valve as a foam and that contains powdered cleaning material in dispersion. Suitable cleaning materials are dicalcium phosphate and chalk. The liquid composition may contain glycerin and/or sorbitol, a water-soluble gum and anionic and non-ionic surfactants. The propellant is preferably a fluorinated hydrocarbon. In the example, the liquid composition comprises sodium carragheenate, glycerin, saccharin water, fumed silica, a flavouring, sodium lauryl sulphate, polyoxyethylene sorbitan monopalmitate, dicalcium phosphate and water.
