Abstract

146,424. Ortgies, H. Sept. 20, 1918, [Convention date]. B r e e c h actions, sliding breech-block; stocks.-Consists in securing the side plates of a pistolbutt by a spring catch arranged inside the butt and having lateral flanges, which engage recesses formed in the inner sides of the plates. In the construction shown, the catch comprises a pivoted plate 5 having side flanges 7, which enter recesses formed in the side plates 12. The catch is pressed into the locking position by a spring 8, and can be disengaged only when the magazine is removed. The spring 8 also acts on the retaining catch 11 of the magazine. In a modification, the catch for the side plates is a sliding one.
