Abstract

1462033 Suit for controlling body temperature DEFENCE SECRETARY OF STATE FOR 16 April 1974 [19 Jan 1973] 2781/73 Heading A3V [Also in Division A5] In a suit for substantially enveloping the human body, the surface in contact with the body substantially comprises a part of the outer surface of a liquid carrying duct the suit being provided with fasteners e.g. zips, buttons to provide access to the parts of the body during a surgical operation. The suit, comprises a bonnet member 10, arm members 12, 13, a torso member 11 and a leg member 14 and is fabricated of two sheets of a plastics material attached to each other so as to form a labyrinthine duct between them. The suit may alternatively be formed by sticking thin walled flexible tubes together or by welding a sheet of plastics having a labyrinthine groove with a plain sheet. The suit or each member thereof is provided with an inlet 15 and an outlet 16.
