Abstract

1461114 Cap remover for beer casks HEINEKEN TECHNISCH BEHEER BV 28 June 1974 [3 July 1973] 28748/74 Heading B8T A U-shaped cap-stripping member 22 has its closed end secured to brackets 18, 19 which are mounted on a framework pivoted to a fixed girder 7 such that the member 22 moves according to arrows 15, 16 on contacting a container 8 being conveyed in direction 15 until the member is located beneath the container when the spring 17 returns the member to its original position whereby a cap 24 is stripped from the container opening 23. The pivoted framework may be a parallelogram system 7, 12, 13, 14 as shown or a single pivoted member. A guide roller 21 is centrally disposed above the closed end of the member 22. A chain conveyer is accommodated in a U-section beam structure 1 having guide rails 9 either side thereof.
