Abstract
1460325 Pharmaceutical compositions AMERICAN LIPIDS CORP 19 Sept 1974 [19 Sept 1973] 40847/74 Heading A5B Pharmaceutical compositions for relieving pain and producing analgesia comprise a solution of any one or more of (a) histamine; (b) a histamine derivative having a similar pharmacological activity within the human body; and (c) a compound which induces histamine release within the human body, together with a hyaluronidase, the composition containing per milli litre a total quantity of compounds (a), (b) and (c) equivalent to form 0.01 mg to 0.5 mg of histamine and from 10 to 50 NF (TR) units of hyaluronidase. The histamine derivative may be a salt thereof e.g. the phosphate. The compositions are administered by injection and may further comprise a non- toxic liquid carrier such as water, saline solution or an iso tonic solution.
