Abstract
1460059 Pyrazolopyridine-derived aminoketones E R SQUIBB & SONS Inc 6 May 1974 19831/74 Heading C2C The invention comprises compounds of Formula III and their acid addition and quaternary ammonium salts, wherein R<SP>111</SP> is H, halogen or C 1-4 alkyl or alkoxy, R<SP>1</SP> and R<SP>11</SP> are each H or Me, and the dotted line is either a bond forming a cyclopropane ring, or 2H atoms. These compounds are prepared by reacting a compound of Formula IV where X is Cl, Br or alkoxy, e.g. ethoxy (IVa) with the appropriate secondary amine. Starting materials otherwise prepared are the 1-(2-furylmethyl) derivative of IVa, its 4- hydroxy analogue, and where Z is 1-(2-furylmethyl)-5-pyrazolyl. Therapeutic compositions having antiinflammatory activity comprise compounds of the above Formula III, and may be administered orally or topically.
