145,977. Jarvis, F. June 28, 1919. Partitioned cases.-A partition 7 is flexibly mounted in an attachÚ case so that it can be brought to any required variable position within the case or cover. In Fig. 1, the partition is shown connected by means of a strip 6 of flexible textile or other material to a wire or strip 4, the ends of which move behind and are frictionally hold by guide parts, such as are shown at 2, secured to the back of the case. The guides may be dispensed with and the ends of the wire or strip arranged to ride in vertical slots cut in the ends of the case, and, in a further modification of this form, eye-pieces may be secured at two of the comers of the partition or at intervals throughout its length, to hold the wire. In the construction shown in Fig. 7, guides &c. are altogether dispensed with, a flexible strip 9 of suitable width being secured to the partition, and to the case at 10. The chain-lines show the partition as turned into the lid.
