Abstract
1459453 Fibre-reactive copper containing formazane dyestuffs CIBA-GEIGY AG 16 Dec 1973 [29 Dec 1972] 51042/73 Heading C4P Novel reactive dyestuffs of the formula (wherein one Y is SO 3 H and the other is a fibre-reactive halotriazinylamino group, and Hal is Cl, Br or F) are prepared by reacting corresponding formazane complexes wherein one Y is SO 3 H and the other is an acylatable amino group with a halotriazine, preferably a trihalotriazine one halogen atom of which is optionally replaced, before or after the reaction, by reaction with an aliphatic or aromatic hydroxy or mercapto compound or an amino compound or ammonia. The dyestuffs are suitable for dyeing and printing silk, leather, wool, polyamide fibres and polyurethanes, and especially fibrous cellulosic materials, e.g. linen, cellulose, regenerated cellulose and cotton.
