Abstract

1459200 Air supply terminals CARRIER CORP 21 Dec 1973 [22 Jan 1973] 59382/73 Heading F4V In an enclosure having two areas separated by a partition 50, at least portions 53, 54 of the ceilings of the areas being inclined upwardly away from the partition, an air distributing terminal for supplying air simultaneously to the two areas comprises diffuser elements 37, 43 defining air discharge passages, the element 37 being in vertical alignment with the top surface of partition 50 and spaced therefrom by a distance from “ to 1 inch. The top surface of partition 50 is at least 2¢ inches wide. The terminal also includes inflatable bladders 31, 33 which may be controlled by elements responsive to supply air pressure or room air temperature, glass fibre sound-absorbing blankets 21, 45, and is supplied with conditioned air from a central plant having a filter 5, pre-cooling coil 7, a spray element 9, cooling coil 11, heating coil 13 and fan 15.
