Abstract

1458463 Board game J J JAFFE 4 Sept 1975 [17 Sept 1974] 40468/74 Heading A6H A board game comprises a board bearing a track, indicia on some track spaces corresponding to one pack of cards, and a plurality of number selectors for selecting one of a series of numbered items on one card of a pack or one card of another pack whose cards are numbered. The number selectors Fig. 2, also include 'YES' and 'NO' selections. Dice are included. In one set of cards, 11, each card carries a numbered list of personal characteristics and in another, 14, each card carries a numbered list of graded reactions to a given situation. In a third set of cards, 13, each card is numbered and indicates an emotion. Each card also carries a statement as to which quarter of the set its number lies in. In a fourth set of cards, 12, each card carries a statement of its value. In a fifth set, each card is a pleasure or pain card and contains instructions to gain or lose points or advance or go back on the board. Some cards instruct a player to change places with another. The track extends spirally from 10S to 10C and has coloured "spokes" 15A-15E. Each player has an "ego" and an "id" counter. The board includes "psychiatrist", "inferiority complex" and "guilt complex" spaces, landing on which involves payment of a fine. Other spaces are marked "ego trip" and "confidence booster". Tokens are provided for placing on unmarked spaces.
