Abstract

1458044 Bag for attachment to a suitcase SINCLAIR OWEN & CO Ltd 16 July 1974 [1 Aug 1973] 36513/73 Heading A4G An article of luggage comprises a bag 11 having a flexible support panel extending upwardly therefrom, a slot 23 being provided in the panel and dimensioned to be capable of engaging over a suitcase handle to enable the bag to be supported by such handle and lie against one side of a suitcase. As described the bag comprises a rear panel 12, front panel 13 and integral end and bottom panels 14, 15. The panel 12 has an extension which provides the flexible support panel, and a steel reinforcing bar 24 is provided between the slot 23 and the free end of the panel 12. The top of the bag is closed by extensions 18 of the flaps 15 being tied by a cord 19, and by a flap 20 extending from the panel 12 and securable to the panel 13 by a buckle 22. A pocket closable by a slide fastener 27 may be provided between the panel 12 and a lining of the bag.
