Abstract

1454553 Isotachophoresis LKB-PRODUKTER AB 11 Dec 1973 [19 Dec 1972] 57444/73 Heading C7B In counterflow isotachophoresis, the position of the sample is fixed in the column by adjustment of the counterflow pressure and/or applied voltage to obtain a constant current through the column. As described, a current differentiator is used to detect the required constant current, and is incorporated in a supply having a constant voltage and/or constant current source. The sample position may be detected visually or automatically using a thermal, potential, U-V or conductivity detector. The process operates under self-regulating equilibrium conditions. Appropriate counterflow and/or voltage values may be predetermined to give a required position (indicated by the value of the constant current) and may be then used as starting values.
