1454321 Apparatus for treating sewage V STENGELIN 6 Aug 1974 [10 Aug 1973] 34486/ 74 Heading BIC Apparatus for treating effluent or sewage comprises a plate assembly 1 rotatably mounted so that the plates are immersed in the flowing liquid in a trough, the plates being of foamed plastics material and incorporating reinforcing elements e.g. collars 19 in spacer bosses 15 and strengthening discs 23 in the hub regions, the density of the whole assembly being selected so that in use, with biological fur on the plates, the assembly is buoyant in the liquid.
