Abstract

1453505 Internally-meshing gear-pumps O ECKERLE 14 March 1974 [16 March 1973] 11445/74 Heading F1F An internally-meshing gear-pump comprises an arcuately tapering insert 7 between the gears 1, 2 which is supported at its thick end against movement in a direction opposite to the rotation of the gears by the flat bearing surface 8' of a pin 8 supported in the casing end-walls, the insert being pivotally mounted on a pin 20 which is inserted in the hollow bores of pins 18, 19 connecting axial end washers 9, 10 to the casing end-walls and in a bore 21 in the insert 7, the bore 21 being off-set from the pin bores in the casing end-walls so that the pin, which is elastic, is resiliently deformed so as to urge insert 7 against the bearing face 8a of pin 8. Instead of the pin 20 extending into the casing end-walls, it need only extend into off-set bores in the washers 9, 10, Fig.4 (not shown). The pin 20 may be made of spring steel wire.
