Abstract

1453239 Vitamin E derivatives G W AHRENS 30 April 1974 18858/74 Heading C2V A vitamin E active product is obtained by heating d-alpha-tocopheryl acid succinate with anhydrous mineral oil, petrolatum or sweet almond oil, at 110‹ to 145‹ C., and removing water formed during the reaction. Magnesium stearate may be included in the reaction. The products may be dissolved in oils and creams for topical application. Examples are given.
